Cognitive Stimulation Therapy Training

Cognitive Stimulation Therapy Training

Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) has been proven to be as effective as some of the anti-dementia drugs and the evidence is growing.

Memory Matters use the principles of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy in all that we do, and you can be doing the same in your organisation. We deliver CST sessions on a daily basis in a variety of settings and have a wealth of experience of tried and tested sessions to share.

Recommended in NICE guidelines and also a standard for achieving Memory Services National Accreditation Programme (run by the Royal College of Psychiatrists) Accreditation, Memory Matters course is upbeat and fun, delivered by directors and qualified nurses, Kate and Laura, who are able to outline the importance of providing evidence-base interventions.

Their delivery features examples from practice and encourages learners to explore and create appropriate content and session plans for successful CST facilitation.

CST can be used in residential settings, community, care homes and day centres. An understanding of CST is the perfect basis for any activity planning for people living with dementia including in the arts. It can be used in groups but also on a one to one with clients.

The team are happy to travel to any location to provide this course. Please contact us for further information.
