Dementia and Communication

Details of Course:

This half day workshop covers how to better communicate with a person who is living with a

dementia.

The workshop covers how we give and receive information, verbal strategies to better

be understood, as well as body language and physical touch.

It explores how the person is communicating with you and how to determine when they

need to.

This workshop will help you and your team to make positive personal connections.

Learners will go away with a personalised action plan to take forward to embed their

new skills in to practice.

Who is it for?

Residential care workers, nursing staff personal carers and family with a loved one living

with dementia, Memory Café Volunteers, Medical students, nursing students.
