Our Supporters

Memory Matters are committed to helping people to live well with dementia through meaningful activities and peer support. We are very lucky and delighted to have such great supporters.

The gap between funding available and the funding needed is significant. As a social enterprise we aim one day to stand alone, bringing in enough funding from profitable projects like our training provision and Moments Cafe and Community Hub. In the meantime we need help to fill that funding gap and we are humbled by the help our supporters give us!

Can your company provide sponsorship at the Hub?

Money raised by our supporters helps us to cover our running costs and bolster the gap between the cost of provision of good quality therapy for small groups.

Day Club Support

We have recently asked for support from local businesses with social aims to ask them to help us to subsidise places at our clubs which cost £40 per head. Our clients more often than not require a subsidy to attend.

£256 supports 1 club for 1 month (benefiting 16 people living with dementia and their carers.)

£400 supports 1 person with dementia and their carer for one year

£1,024 supports 4 clubs (64 people) for one month

£12,2288 supports 4 clubs (64 people) for 1 year

Whether you would like to hold a coffee morning or jump out of a plane to raise money to support our work we would love to hear from you. If you have a fundraising idea please tell us about it here

Our very own Activity Worker Karen Stanford heads up our fundraising with 'Friends of Memory Matters' in her spare time. She would be delighted with any fundraising help you can offer. Recently Karen raised enough to supply three activity clubs with ipads which are fantastic resources for activity and reminisence. You can read about her last fundraising summer party here

If you can help sell raffle tickets for our christmas draw contact us and we will get some books to you.

Wether you donate £5 or £500 you can rest assured that your money will be used to support the vital work that we do, improving confidence, increasing socialisation and maintaining identity for people living with dementia in our community. Link to paypal Donate button above.

If you would like to volunteer we would love to hear from you. There is so much to do at Memory Matters and not enough time to do it in. We welcome helpful hands, wherever your skills lay.
