Want to Volunteer?

A diagnosis of dementia shouldn't mean the end of meaningful friendships and involvement in the community, however it often is. As misunderstanding around dementia is common and stigma still rife it takes special people to take the time to understand and help promote opportunities for invovement in meaningful activity.

This could be you!

Volunteers at our club assist our lead facilitator with the general running of the club. This entails having conversations with people, making drinks and helping prepare activities inside and out!

Watch our video: Why Volunteer?

We are looking for people who:

  • Like listening
  • Enjoy helping and mucking in
  • Are relaxed and happy to go with the flow
  • Are positive
  • Like being part of a team

  • Are keen to learn

No experience of dementia necessary; just a desire to have conversations, listen to stories, and an interest in people.

Full training given. You will be supported in this role with regular supervision.
